Geography of Sikkim
Location
Sikkim is situated on the
North Eastern corner of India and is surrounded by Bhutan and
Nepal with West Bengal on its
South. The entire state is covered with hills and forests; only the
southern part of the state (in the lower Himalayas) is populated.
The
elevation ranges from 280 metres to 8,585 metres. Kanchenjunga – the
highest peak of India is situated in the state.
